Performances by Saudi Arabia's first Grand Prix and Justin Bieber

A few years ago, no one could have imagined that there would be such a dance in Saudi Arabia, and that young Saudis would be seen trembling at Western music. Back then, not only were such concerts banned in this country but there were other restrictions as well.

Leading Canadian pop star Justin Bieber forced the young Saudi generation to dance in the Saudi city of Jeddah with his singing. Ahead of the concert on Sunday night, human rights groups and activists called on Bieber to cancel the concert, citing protests over the deteriorating human rights situation in Saudi Arabia.

However, Bieber performed in Jeddah and ignored such appeals. Bieber's wife and well-known model Haley Baldwin Bieber also posted an encouraging post on her Instagram account about the success of the concert. A number of posts have been published on social media in which Justin Bieber is performing in a red dress.

Pope and R&B singer Jason Darrell charmed Saudi youth before Bieber. Apart from them, many other western stars were also present in Jeddah. While Bieber was performing, female dancers in sweat pants and baggy tops danced with him.

A few years ago, no one could have imagined that there would be such open dancing in Saudi Arabia, and that young Saudis would be seen trembling to the tune of Western music. At that time concerts were banned in this country and it was impossible for non-mahram men and women to gather in public places.

However, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman embarked on a process of reform in a conservative country like Saudi Arabia, aimed at making the country attractive to foreign investors and creating jobs for the younger generation.

Human Rights Watch and other human rights organizations and activists, however, see this new Saudi vision as an illusion. He also called on Justin Bieber to boycott the concert, saying such events were in fact an attempt to divert attention from the deteriorating human rights situation in Saudi Arabia.

Formula One race before the concert

The first Grand Prix was also held in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, to the delight of the concert festival. In the Formula One race in Jeddah, British driver Lewis Hamilton won the first position. Muhammad bin Salman was also present at the Jeddah circuit to watch the race, where he took selfies with Saudi youth.

Proponents of her case have been working to make the actual transcript of this statement available online. Khadijah Genghis wrote to Bieber, "This performance should be canceled, sending a strong message that using your name and talent will not improve the reputation of a country that kills its political dissidents.

However, like many other stars, Bieber ignored the pressure. Like many other Western stars, Mariah Carey performed in Saudi Arabia in 1919.
