Nine Iranian soldiers were killed in a fierce clash between the US Navy and Iranian Revolutionary Guards on the waters of the Persian Gulf.
According to the International News Agency, tensions in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman over months of trying to seize oil tankers have led to clashes between the US Navy and Iran's Revolutionary Guards.
A statement issued by the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Alireza Tangseri, said that there had been several short-lived skirmishes with the US Navy in the Persian Gulf in which nine of our soldiers had been killed.
According to Commander Ali Reza, Iran attacked the US Navy more than nine times and was forced to retreat, but the Iranian commander did not say how much the US suffered in the clashes.
This statement of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards has not been denied or confirmed by the United States, but in the past the United States has warned the Iranian Revolutionary Guards against provocation and aggression in the Persian Gulf.
It should be noted that Iran had recently seized a Vietnamese oil tanker after a clash with the US Navy in the Sea of Oman, but the ship was released a week later after negotiations between the parties.
